Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. April 1971. Corporal (Cpl) Carl Guy of Mosman, NSW, struggles through thick jungle during operations in Phuoc Tuy Province. Cpl Guy is a member of 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). Soon after this picture was taken he was medevaced (evacuated by helicopter) with a suspected broken hand. The injury was sustained in a fall.
