South Vietnam. May 1971. Miss Vuong Tien Linh, a shop assistant at the Pearson Recreation Centre, Nui Dat, received a music lesson (clarinet) from musician Bill Middleton (left), of the HMAS Sydney Band. With them is Private Manfred Bohne of Muswellbrook, NSW, a member of the 2RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment). HMAS Sydney was at Vung Tau to offload the 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR), in preparation for the Australian homecoming of 2RAR.
