Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. April 1970. Peering through a screen of bamboo during an operation in the north of the province, is Private John Kool of Shepparton, Vic. He is a member of D Company, 6RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), which is nearing the end of its year long tour of duty in Vietnam.
