Description

Baria, South Vietnam. June 1971. Colonel P. M. McCarthy of Canberra, ACT (right), the Director of the Army Nursing Service, spent six days in South Vietnam on a tour which included visits to Australian, American and Vietnamese hospitals. She was escorted around the Baria hospital in Phuoc Tuy Province, by the Officer Commanding 8th Field Ambulance at Nui Dat, Major J. S. Vercoe of Tramere, SA (left). With them is a Vietnamese man (centre) and a Vietnamese woman patient lying in bed.
