Belmore, NSW. April 1941. Portrait of NX14568 Private (Pte) Edwin Leslie (Les) Penman, 2/4th Australian Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, at Belmore Park prior to embarkation. Pte Penman later became the fiance of NX76505 Alice Burns who served in the Middle East and then in Queensland after the VADs became the Australian Army Medical Women's Service (AAMWS). (Donor A.
