Description
Victoria Barracks, NSW. 28 July 1966. Col Joye and Little Patti, 17, receive identity passes in preparation for a tour of Borneo and South Vietnam as members of the third Government sponsored entertainment group. Handing out the passes is Major Tom Willington, Officer Commanding the Eastern Command Amenities Unit, which is responsible for many of the `funnies' that go on behind the scenes to keep our overseas troops happy. Joye and his group, and Little Patti (Patricia Amphlett) of East Lakes, NSW, are the first all-Sydney group to be sent by the Australian Government. The entertainers will leave Sydney on 11 August and spend nine or ten days entertaining troops.
