Morotai, Netherland East Indies. 15 August 1945. Pilots of 79 Squadron, RAAF, fly their Spitfire MK VIII aircraft in VP formation over Pitoe Airfield. They are led by their Commanding Officer 408021 Squadron Leader Ken E. James, they are forming the letters "VP" to mark Victory in the Pacific Day, marking the end of the Second World War. (Donor H.
