Nui Dat, South Vietnam. May 1970. The Commander of the Australian Force Vietnam (COMAFV), Major General (Maj Gen) C. A. E. Fraser, presents the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to Warrant Officer Class 2 J. C. Brown of Keperra, Qld, and the 198th Works Section. Maj Gen Fraser presented four of the medals to senior non-commissioned officers during a parade at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base. The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded for eighteen years continuous service.
