Akyab, Burma. c. 4 April 1945. A game of chinese checkers fills in a stand down day for these transport crews of No. 194 (Dakota) Squadron RAF, operating on the Burma front. Left to right: 423341 Warrant Officer (WO, later Flying Officer [FO]) Alfred Leslie Siddons and 421488 WO (later Pilot Officer [PO]) Phillip Maurice Gunn of Caulfield, Victoria, while a friend from the RAF looks on. PO Gunn was later lost in operations over India on 03 May, 1945..
