Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM), Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) H T 'Jack' Harwood cutting the cake at a ceremony in front of other Non Commissioned Officers (NCOS) and men (mostly unidentified). An Australian flag is draped around the cake. The four candles on the cake possibly represent the 4th anniversary of the formation of the 67 Battalion, later reformed as the 3rd Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). Note the 67 in Roman numerals on the RSM's shoulder patch. Three men of the unit are acting as honour guards. The corporal seated behind the cake is 21094 Corporal (Cpl) (later Warrant Officer Class 1) Noel A Vines. The guard with the rifle (right) is Corporal Terry Gard. Behind and partially obscured by RSM Harwood, and wearing a moustache, is James Leslie Darcy Hamilton (ex 2/1 Battalion). On Hamilton's left, clapping his hands is 'Squizzy' Taylor (I Section).
