Description

Korea. c. 1950. Because his parents have been located, these Australian soldiers serving with the Australian Field Maintenance section in Korea, have to send their mascot "Hotrod" back to Pusan. Hotrod has been with the unit since it landed in Korea with the first Australian Contingent. Pictured, left to right: Private C. E. Felsman of Kedron, Qld; Warrant Officer Class 1 W. D. Bailey of Astonville, NSW; Warrant Officer Class 2 H. A. Perry of Kogarah, NSW, and Hotrod, standing by the RAAF Douglas C47 Dakota which will fly him to Pusan.
