Description

British Centurion tanks cross a pontoon bridge, probably across the Imjin River in Korea. The bridge consists of metal tracks laid over inflatable dinghies, which are held in place by cables. Two other inflatable dinghies are floating on the water near the shore. Jeeps, trailers and trucks have stopped on both sides of the river. The jeeps include number 155877 (closest to camera), one with 'BBC TELEVISION NEWS' printed under the front windscreen and another with the letters 'PR'. Soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) wait near the vehicles on the shore.
