Chairman of the Chief's of Staff Committee, Admiral Sir Victor Smith, accompanied by Chairman of the Free World Military Assistance Committee, Lieutenant General Tran Ngoc Tam (left), salutes the Australian and Republic of Vietnam flags during an inspection of a Guard of Honour on his arrival at Saigon Airport. Sir Victor spent three days in Vietnam before proceeding to Bangkok to attend the 35th South East Asia Treaty Organisation (SEATO) military adviser's conference.
