Description
South Vietnam. November 1971. A well deserved smoke and welcome back from tracker dog Milo for Private Dave Cree of Woolongong, NSW (left), and Private Bob Hughes of Spotswood, Vic. Both are members of 4RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), and had just completed their final patrol in Vietnam before being extracted from Nui Dat to the coastal base of Vung Tau. Vung Tau had become the main base for the marshalling of units for embarkation and the closing down of unit stores ready for shipment to Australia.
