Vung Tau, South Vietnam. 27 November 1971. Private (Pte) Ian Harty of Ascot Vale, Vic, completed a long series of arrangements when he married Miss Le Thi Huong in a simple Roman Catholic ceremony in a Vung Tau church. Pte Harty met his wife at the 1st Australian Logistic Support Group (1ALSG) Base, now the base of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF), at Vung Tau, where she worked for the Australian Army. They will return to Australia early in the new year.
