Nui Dat, South Vietnam. August 1970. The Managing-Director of the Australian Services Canteens Organisation, Mr A. Hind, looks over a camera with two Australian soldiers at the PX (canteen) in the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base. Private (Pte) John Alexander of Ascot Vale, Vic (left), and Pte Arthur Wallis of Reservoir, Vic, are serving as cooks at Nui Dat. Mr Hind was on a ten-day tour of Australian bases in South Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore.
