Major (Maj) D S Thomson, Officer Commanding A Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), and Corporal (Cpl) L E 'Squizzy' Taylor (left), also a member of 1RAR, having a celebration drink. Maj Thomson was awarded the Military Cross and Cpl Taylor the Military Medal, for their actions during Operation Blaze in July 1952.
