Vung Tau, South Vietnam. 29 February 1972. Major Jerry Taylor of Carlisle, WA, outlines the area covered by one of his defensive strong-points at the former 1st Australian Task Force Base (1ATF) at Vung Tau, to the Chief of the General Staff (CGS), Lieutenant General M. F. Brogan. Lieutenant General Brogan visited the 1ATF area during his farewell to the last component of the Australian Force in Vietnam. Major Taylor, the officer in charge of D Company of the 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR), left with the Company aboard HMAS Sydney last week.
