Informal portrait of Squadron Leader Richard (Dick) Charles Cresswell, Commanding Officer, No. 77 Squadron RAAF, who shot down a Japanese 'Betty' bomber aircraft during a night raid on Darwin on the 23 November 1942, and later the wreck and the bodies of the nine members of the crew were found.
