Description
A captured German anti tank gun. This is believed to be one of only nine that the Germans manufactured in late 1941, by mounting a captured Russian 76.2mm M1936 field gun on a German semi tractor, in an effort to make the field gun self propelled. It is believed that this vehicle served with the 605. Panzerjager-Abteilung (605th S/P Anti-Tank Battalion) at the battle of El Alamein. Note the doors on the field gun are open to reveal the breech and sightings of the gun.
