Collection relating to the service of 432886 Edward Philip Telford Simpson
Description
Nadzab, New Guinea. 1 August 1944. A Boomerang aircraft, serial no. A46-204, code name QE-I, of No. 4 (Tactical Reconnaissance) Squadron RAAF, sitting on its undercarriage after a landing accident. Flying Officer J. D. Cameron, who was flying the aircraft at the time of the accident, was uninjured. Note the broken wheels and bent propeller blade. (Donor P. Simpson)
