Studio portrait of N37302 Gunner Jim A. Cannon. Gunner Cannon was Number One gunner of No. 2 Gun that fired on the Japanese Submarine I-21 from Fort Scratchley on the night of June 8 1942. The submarine had surfaced and fired several shells at the City of Newcastle.
