Studio portrait of 2135 Private (Pte) Archibald Patterson Elliot, 9th Battalion. A native of Hawick, Scotland, Pte Elliott was a labourer from Bundaberg, Qld prior to enlistment. He embarked with the 6th Reinforcements from Brisbane on HMAT Karoola on 12 June 1915. On 22 December 1917 he was killed in action and was buried in the Wulverghem- Lindenhoek Road Cemetery, Belgium.
