Cairo, Egypt. 8 June 1944. Cairo traffic stopped and thousands of people lined belconies and pavements on the morning of 8 June to watch the pageantry of Empire troops marching through the streets in honour of the King's birthday parade. RAAF airmen stationed in Cairo area are seen marching along Kasr el Nil.
