Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. November 1970. Sergeant Ron Gilchrist of South Melbourne, Vic, calmly walks down a 100 foot sheet cliff face. Firmly on the ground below are Warrant Officer (Snow) Livock of Tully, Qld (holding rope), and Warrant Officer Ray Heathcote of Newcastle, NSW (pointing). Soldiers of the 1st Special Air Service Squadron, based at Nui Dat, are teaching rope techniques to a training cadre from the Van Kiep National Training School nearby.
