Description
Vic. Paybook photograph, taken on enlistment, of VX20450 Private Keneth Edward Radcliffe, 2/2nd Pioneer Battalion, Australian Infantry. He was one of over 2000 Allied prisoners of war (POW) held in the Sandakan POW camp in north Borneo, having been transferred there after being captured in Java. Private Radcliffe, aged 25, died as a prisoner of the Japanese on 28 September 1944, in Labuan. He was the son of Edward George Albert and Annie Radcliffe, of Prahran, Vic.
