NSW. Paybook photograph of NX4040 Corporal James Brazier, 2/4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Corporal Brazier, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 30 May 1941. He was the son of Frederick and Lizzie Brazier, and the husband of Joyce Mary Brazier, of Concord, NSW. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 11.
