NSW. Paybook photograph of NX5861 Private Reginald Arthur Johnson, 2/4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Johnson, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 21 May 1941. He was the son of William Todd Johnson and Mary Jane Johnson, of Wagga Wagga, NSW. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 11.
