NSW. Paybook photograph of NX7749 Private Eric William Ford, 2/1st Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Ford, aged 28, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 20 May 1941. He was the son of William and Violet May Ford, of Cremorne, NSW.
