NSW. Paybook photograph of NX8152 Gunner William Robert Dolan, 2/3rd Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Dolan, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 21 May 1941. He was the son of Joseph James Dolan and Annie May Dolan, of Rozelle, NSW. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row A, Plot 5.
