NSW. Paybook photograph of NX11193 Private Frederick Joseph Cummins, 2/4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Cummins, aged 28, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 15 May 1941. He was the son of Thomas Michael and Elizabeth Florence Cummins and the husband of Eileen Frances Cummins, of Croydon, NSW. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row B, Plot 6.
