NSW. Paybook photograph of NX13257 Private Stewart David McVicor Gibson, 2/4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Gibson, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 28 May 1941. He was the son of David and Olive May Gibson, of Girilambone, NSW.
