SA. Paybook photograph of SX1160 Sergeant Jeffice Alexander Millar, 2/3rd Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Sergeant Millar, aged 27, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 21 May 1941. He was the son of Albert Japheth Millar and Jean Moncrief Millar, of Mitcham, SA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 1, Row D, Plot 19.
