Vic. Paybook photograph of VX2967 Private John Thomas O'Donnell, 2/7th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private O'Donnell, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of Thomas and Eileen O'Donnell, of Daylesford, Vic.
