Vic. Paybook photograph of VX5538 Corporal David Joseph Wilson, 2/7th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Corporal Wilson, aged 35, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 30 April 1941. He was the son of John and Ellen Wilson, of Mordialloc, Vic.
