Vic. Paybook photograph of VX14007 Lieutenant John Leslie Donaldson, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Lieutenant Donaldson, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Leslie Tweeddale Donaldson and Edith Marion Donaldson, of Melbourne, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
