Vic. Paybook photograph of VX15471 Lance Corporal Roy Matthew Jerrom, 1st Australian Corps Company, Australian Army Provost Corps. Lance Corporal Jerrom, aged 24, died on 27 May 1941, of injuries he received when the vehicle that he was travelling in ran off the road, en route to Spharkia, during the defence the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion. He was the son of Roy Clarence and Ida Lousise Jerrom. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 12. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
