Vic. Paybook photograph of VX16595 Private Frank Joseph Bell, 2/6th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Bell, aged 35, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 30 May 1941. He was the son of Frank Livingstone Bell and Margaret Bell, of North Perth, WA. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 11. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
