Vic. Paybook photograph of VX25531 Private Albert William Baird, 2/7th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Baird, aged 40, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of Robert and Annie Baird, of unknown, unknown.
