Vic. Paybook photograph of VX25689 Gunner Archibald Owler Moncur, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Moncur, aged 40, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of David and Margaret Melville Moncur, of Glasgow, Scotland. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
