Vic. Paybook photograph of VX26725 Gunner Wallace Michael Fuery, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Fuery, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Wallace George and Linda Agnes Fuery, of Heidelberg, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
