Vic. Paybook photograph of VX28436 Gunner Gilbert Frederick Grace, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Grace, aged 34, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Patrick Albert and Elsie Beatrice Grace, and the husband of Dorothy Louise Grace, of Lidcombe, NSW. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
