Vic. Paybook photograph of VX30579 Gunner Victor Charles Foster, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Foster, aged 26, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of George and Alice Maude Foster, of Ivanhoe, Vic.
