Vic. Paybook photograph of VX42651 Sergeant Osborn Henry Bossence, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Sergeant Bossence, aged 30, drowned on 29 May 1941, as a result of enemy action during the evacuation of Crete, after defending the island against the German land and airborne invasion. He was the son of William Thomas Bossence and Alice Telford Bossence, of East Malvern, Vic. He is buried in the Rhondes War Cemetery Section 3, Row B, Plot 6.
