Vic. Paybook photograph of VX43150 Gunner Alan John Goad, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Goad, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 7 June 1941. He was the son of Thomas Stuart Goad and Annie Isobelle Goad, and the husband of Clarice Goad, of Port Melbourne, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
