Vic. Paybook photograph of VX44513 Gunner William Hillard Dunbar, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Dunbar, aged 31, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 28 May 1941. He was the son of Richard and Francis Louisa Dunbar, and the husband of Edith Isobel Dunbar, of Tatura, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
