Vic. Paybook photograph of VX44955 Private Gordon Iles Horadam, 2/7th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Horadam, aged 18, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of William Joseph and Edith Iles Horadam, of South Melbourne, Vic. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row C, Plot 1.
