Vic. Paybook photograph of VX48557 Gunner Edwin James Bland Rawlins, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Rawlins, aged 20, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Edwin Bland Rawlins and Catherine Ann Rawlins, of Broadford, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
