Vic. Paybook photograph of VX48662 Bombardier Leo Young, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Bombardier Young, aged 26, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Henry James Young and Margaret Young, of Maffra, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
