WA. Paybook photograph of WX279 Private Frederick Keith Fraser, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Fraser, aged 21, died on 24 December 1941, as a Prisoner of War (POW), after being captured defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion. He was the son of James M. Fraser and Ellen Fraser, of Victoria Park, WA. He is buried in the Durnbach War Cemetery, Germany, Section 4, Row A, Plot 34.
